Getting StartedCustom Features on WE&T
World Enough and Time has added a variety of features that do not exist in a basic installation of Simple Machines Forum (SMF). As a result, they do not show up in the SMF Help pages. This page provides information on the enhanced features available on WE&T and explains how they are used on the site.

On the Menu Bar

PM's button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, this button takes members to their Private Message page.

UserGuide button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, the UserGuide page displays information on features specific to this forum. Clicking on that button was how you arrived here. It is accessible to guests as well as site members.

The Rules button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, the Rules page displays the site rules and the user agreement from the registration process. It is accessible to guests as well as site members.

Staff button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, the Staff page displays the avatars and contact information of all staff members, including board moderators. It is accessible to guests as well as site members.

Members button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, the Members page displays all site members, what contact information they have opted to have available, their title on the forum, the date they registered, the date they were last active on the forum, and the number of posts they have made. It is accessible to members only.

TagSearch button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, the TagSearch page displays the tags used to date in games/stories and the most recently-updated topics/threads that contain one or more tags. Clicking on a tag will bring up a list of topics/threads that contain the tag selected. The tags are visible to guests, but only approved site members will see the lists or be able to view the games/stories themselves. The tags also show up toward the bottom of the screen on the pages of a topic/thread that has been tagged. The topic originator and site management can add or delete existing tags. The TagSearch function is is optional, and more information about using it is available here.

ZC Blog button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, the zCommunity blog offers a blogging community, where members can build whatever sorts of blogs they wish. At the moment, this section is accessible to members only.

Creations button
Accessible via a button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen, this section houses areas to post fiction, poetry or artwork for rating and/or comment by other members. This section is accessible to members only.

Elliquiy button
This button on the menu bar toward the top of the screen takes you to Elliquiy, the parent site of WE&T.

On the Forum Main Page

Recently Updated Topics
Toward the bottom of the main screen, you will see the links to the ten most recently-updated topics/threads available for your access level; thus, guests will not see the same list that site members will.

Board Descriptions
Under each board title you'll find a description that explains the purpose of the board. If a description isn't clear, either PM or email a staff member for assistance.

On the boards

Thread/Topic Descriptions
Some topics within the boards also have descriptions. This is an added feature that permits more explanation of a given topic than the title in the subject line allows. It is required to add tags on roleplay/game threads that containe explicit content so members browsing the boards will know something of what a story/game contains before they would read it. Outside the roleplay/game threads, the use of this mod is optional. The description line is an untitled blank field beneath the Subject field when creating a topic or editing the top post in a topic.

Dice Roller
Within any post, there is code enabled to enter a random dice roll that will be embedded within the post. See this post for more information on how to use the dice roller.

On the Profile Pages

Personal Notes Area
Each member has a private notes area on their main Profile page, where they can leave notes for themselves.
